Identifying a plant, running the safety checks, and browsing the plant library all work signed out. An account is only needed to save your own recipes, keep a garden, or offer something on the swap.
The app sends photographs through our server to identification services so API keys never sit on your phone. We do not store your photographs in our database. The picture is passed along, the result comes back, and we keep the result — not the picture. We do not use photographs to identify you, and we do not sell them.
Each of those services handles the image it receives under its own terms.
We keep your email (sign-in is handled by Supabase), recipes you save, gardens you keep, and swap listings you write. Recipes and gardens are private to you. A listing can name a rough area, not a street address.
The map can use device location to show pins near you. That is optional and off until you turn it on. A saved garden holds a place, often where you live; gardens are private by default. Map pins mark a plant or a hazard, not a person.
We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, track you across other apps or websites, or publish your recipes, gardens, or location.
The app is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. It is not designed for unsupervised use by children.
Delete a recipe, garden, or listing from inside the app at any time. To delete an account and everything attached to it, write to contact@localsprocierge.com.
